There's one more video screen cap I don't have because I never bought Hell on Earth 4, I think it is... I lost track after 2 because they all look exactly alike.

My Manowar fandom waned somewhere around the time they sent out a press release saying that the release of what eventually became the "Gods of War" album was being delayed "for the betterment of the fans".

Over the years I'd become less and less enthusiastic over the band for a multitude of reasons, but that phrase really sent me over the edge.

At that time, we'd already been waiting for four years! It was maddening for them to say they were trying to make me a better person by withholding the next CD from me.

Sure they probably meant to say they were taking the time to MAKE BETTER MUSIC FOR THE FANS, but that's Manowar, right there in that statement. Trying to spin a situation but unintentionally doing something ridiculous and possibly offensive instead.

I got tired of having a favorite band that continuously needed defending.

I gave away my Manowar message board to people who still wanted to talk about about them, and closed my Manowar site at Owar.com because I was over it.

In the five years that Manowar did nothing but make excuses, original guitarist Ross The Boss had five albums released and he played live shows with five different bands.

It makes me happy and proud (and busy!) to be the official webmaster for the guy who does five times as much as the others.
